Lip gloss to detect a spiked drink.
Site says that 1 out of 4 women have had their drinks spiked. I didn’t know that and don’t believe it cause the a website says so (nor do I disbelieve it cause Wikipedia says different), but I do know that this is proper and necessary science fiction happening right now.
(to be clear: getting your drink spiked is one of the worst things that can happen to you, short of what comes after that. Happened to a friend years ago in NYC.)
Ok people, this guy Matt has just reset the bar for the rest of you. If you were thinking about proposing to your significant other at some point in the near future, you might want to rethink it. This guy has effectively put any effort that you were thinking about to shame.
The masters of public disturbance have done it again. Improv Everywhere, founded by Charlie Todd, interrupted the GEL Conference in New York City this week as a part of their Spontaneous Musical series.
You can officially kiss people over the internet. That’s right, I said it. The Kajimoto Laboratory at the University of Electro-Communications has created a device which consists of a hardware receptacle which is placed into the mouth, and software that remembers the movements of your tongue and sends them to the other connected device, which moves accordingly.
Of course there’s a lot more to kissing than the movement of the tongue – despite the importance of said movement – the Lab intends to recreate every element of kissing. Cyber makeout sessions will never be the same.
